LMP/START Program
The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association Educational Foundation (FRLAEF) is the only organization in the state of Florida that offers the Lodging Management Program (LMP) and the Skills, Tasks and Results Training (S.T.A.R.T.) program.
Recognizing the need for qualified, enthusiastic professionals in the tourism industry, the FRLAEF supports sound educational experiences in preparation for dynamic and rewarding tourism careers. We accomplish this mission by implementation of industry developed school-to-career programs through interaction with students, instructors and industry leaders. |

| Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show |
The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show takes place September 5-7, 2008 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. LMP/START teachers may attend the Show all three days at no charge. LMP/START students may attend the Show on Saturday, September 6, 2008 free of charge.
All registration is being handled online this year. Name badges will be available on-site.
After you have registered, the website will generate a barcode. Print this and bring it with you to the show to get your name badges.

| Florida's Salute to Excellence Awards Luncheon |
Florida’s Salute to Excellence Awards Luncheon will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Orange County Convention Center. Each LMP/START instructor can honor one LMP/STARTstudent with a LMP/START Hospitality Excellence Award. The LMP/START instructor and nominated student each receive a complimentary ticket to the luncheon.

| Scholarships |
One $2,500 LMP/START Hospitality Scholarship and five $2,000 Hospitality Scholarships will be awarded during Florida’s Salute to Excellence Awards Luncheon, September 6, 2008.
