| LMP Students Receive Scholarships at Luncheon |
| Zeljana Tintor, senior at Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, was awarded a $2,500 LMP Hospitality Scholarship at Florida’s Salute to Excellence Awards Luncheon. The Awards Luncheon took place in Orlando during the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show.
At nine years old Zeljana emigrated from Serbia to the United States. As she entered high school she got involved in everything she could. Now a senior, just a few of her extra curricular activities include being Vice President of student government, captain of the varsity basketball team and editor in the yearbook club. Zeljana has already earned her START, LMP 1 and LMP 2 Certificates with honors. She was a member of the Oak Ridge High School LMP competition which won the state and national competitions this past year. In her spare time she works at the Rosen Centre Hotel as a certified reservations agent. Zeljana is planning to attend the University of Central Florida’s Rosen School of Hospitality after which she looks forward to a career in the hospitality industry.
Anthony Rosario-Gonzalez, a senior from Jefferson High School in Tampa, received a $2,000 Hospitality Scholarship at the Luncheon.
Anthony plans to attend either University of Central Florida’s Rosen School of Hospitality or Johnson & Wales University to study Hospitality.
