Florida ProStart students who successfully earn the National ProStart
Certificate of Achievement will receive 12 credit hours (worth over
$3,900) toward their associate in arts degree in culinary arts at the
Art Institute of Atlanta (AIA).
Credit for courses will be awarded to each ProStart Certificate holder
upon admission to the AIA and submission of the completed ProStart
Articulated Credit Application. The students will receive credits in
the following classes, each worth four quarter credits:
1) Sanitation Safety; 2) Career Development and 3)
Externship/Internship.
AIA is the only Georgia college that is accredited by the Commission on
Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and
the American Culinary Federation (ACF) to award associate in arts
degrees in culinary arts.
