ProStart Articulation Agreements

Culinary Arts · Atlanta, Georgia
Students will start with basic skills and progress to advanced food techniques, including garde manger, international cuisine, a la carte, and baking and pastry. Students will also learn kitchen and dining room operation, catering management, and other business skills, such as cost control and supervision of food service personnel. Students in the culinary arts program compete every year in local, regional and national competitions, and have often won awards for their skills.

Program Term 7 quarters, 112 credits
Academic Credit Twelve credits (in Sanitation and Safety, Career
Development, and Externship/Internship) toward an
Associate in Arts in Culinary Arts for high school
students who have successfully completed their ProStart
program at a school whom The Art Institute of Atlanta
has an articulation agreement.
Work Experience Credit Included with academic credit above
Scholarships The Art Institute Culinary Scholarship Competition (high
school seniors only); for other scholarship opportunities

Annual Cost As of September 2004, tuition was $355 per credit hour, or
$5,680 per quarter ($17,040 per academic year); lab fee $285 per quarter. Call for information on housing, starting kits and financial aid for those who qualify.
