The Florida Restaurant Association Educational Foundation supports Groundhog Job Shadow Day as a day
dedicated to giving high school juniors and seniors job shadowing experience in the foodservice
industry. Job shadowing enables kids to shadow a work-place mentor as he or she goes through a normal
day on the job, providing an up-close look at how the skills learned in school are put into action in
the workplace.
The 2004 Groundhog Job Shadow Day event will be held February 2, 2004. High
school juniors and seniors across the state
will be encouraged to shadow a local restaurateur to learn more about
the foodservice industry. Contact Amy Parker at aparker@flra.com for
more information on how to get involved in this event.
