| EI Summer Institute Scholarships |
The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (EI) offers their five-day EI Summer Institute to high school hospitality instructors to learn more about the lodging industry and energize the classroom presentation of the LMP curriculum.
Institute participants will learn about today's lodging industry from faculty at leading hospitality management schools. In addition to lectures, demonstrations, discussions, small group activities and videos, participants will have the opportunity to tour lodging properties and job shadow industry professionals. There will also be time to network with peers and share teaching tips and best practices for introducing the world of lodging management to students. The registration fee for the EI Summer Institute is $625.
FRLAEF will sponsor participation for at least nine Florida LMP/START instructors to attend an EI Summer Institute. The FRLAEF will supply a stipend of $1000 to each of the EI Summer Institute Scholarship recipients. This stipend must be used to cover costs associated with attending the event.
Applications will be available on our website soon.
