The Salute to Excellence Awards (formerly held in conjunction with the FRLA Show) will take place on Saturday, February 25 at 6:00 PM at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando.  The awards dinner will recognize all scholarship recipients, Pineapple Awards, Hospitality Excellence Award winners and ProStart competition winners will be announced.

All award recipients and all LMP Teachers may attend the Salute to Excellence Awards dinner free of charge.  If you have guests interested in attending, the charge will be $60 per person.

See below for the scholarship application.  Page two of the newsletter contains the Hospitality Excellence and Pineapple Awards nominations--also due this month.

If you are nominating a student for a Hospitality Excellence Award, you can register for the dinner at that time.   If you will be attending the dinner without a student, click here to register. 

The FRLAEF is awarding $40,000 in scholarships to Florida ProStart and LMP students.  The scholarship application is now available.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must:

• Be a graduating senior who will begin post-secondary education during the 2012-2013 school year
• Return a copy of your high school transcript to FRLAEF by application deadline

Application deadline: Friday, January 27, 2012.

You will be notified your award status by: Friday, February 3, 2012.
